If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you.
Silva's Motivation walks with people in Los Angeles through the three things that actually break the cycle of instability: a job, a home, and support to stay sober.
Why we serve
Nestled in Los Angeles, Silva's Motivation exists for people who are ready to change their lives but haven't been given the tools to do it. We provide job training and placement, program-enriched affordable housing, and support for people transitioning out of treatment into sober living.
We don't treat these as separate problems. A person leaving treatment without stable housing or income is a person set up to relapse. So we build the whole path — work, home, and recovery support — around each individual, for as long as they need it.
What we do
Three programs, one path forward
Transitional Employment & Job Training
On-the-job training, mentorship, and job placement support for people rebuilding a work history. We stay involved past the first paycheck, not just until you're hired.
JobsProgram-Enriched Affordable Housing
Housing for unhoused and transitioning individuals, structured within a supportive program — case management, life-skills support, and a path to independent living.
HousingSober Living & Recovery Home Support
We assist individuals in recovery with placement into sober living and recovery homes, connecting people leaving treatment with a stable, substance-free environment and ongoing support to help them stay on track.

Our crew, doing the work
This is what a Silva's Motivation housing project looks like from the inside — our work crew gutting and rebuilding a property, hands-on, room by room.
